Day 40 of 365: Blizzards Are For The Birds

The northeast blizzard of 2010 is upon us. As I was driving back from an errand I was mesmerized by the dense falling snow. I had to stop when I saw this flock of seagulls (no 80′s reference intended) braving the weather. It must suck to be a seagull in the snow…but they didn’t look phased. A reminder of how nature is both beautiful and brutal at the same time.

Day 39 of 365: When In Doubt, Shoot a Church

Had no time to shoot today, starting to get desperate to keep the 365 project going. Can’t go wrong shooting a church. So I decided to play around with the high ISO on the D3s. – I found a dark church to shoot to challenge myself. For the geeks like me who care, this is ISO 25,600. The image came out very two dimensional to me, but hey, it’s an image for today and saves me from not fulfilling the project today…

Day 37 of 365: Brother & Sister Reflection

I spent most of today having a long overdue brunch with my little (not so little anymore!) sister. Fortunately she always sports a funky New York Bohemian style, and she made today’s image of the day. You can see a clear reflection of me in her eyes (well glasses) here. Metaphorically and spiritually, it is kind of a good representation of our day together – reminiscing and pondering life. Thanks sis!
